Whether at home or in a work setting, it is crucial that you and your employees are protected from potential dangers and hazards.

This can include harmful substances (gases, liquids and radiation), sharp objects/edges, heat sparks, splinters, extreme heat, dust, extreme noise, airborne pathogens, poisons, and more. This is where PPE equipment can prove life-saving.

There is a vast array of different PPE equipment options. These include hard hats, safety glasses, face masks and shields, ear plugs, ear defenders, gloves, coveralls, aprons and hazmat suits, and safety boots and shoes. Other items that fall under the PPE category include high-visibility clothing, such as reflective vests, and fall protection equipment such as harnesses.

Here at George Hill Timber, we offer a range of PPE equipment for your safety. This includes specialist gloves, eyewear, and ear protectors.

Specialist gloves provide protection against cuts, burns, abrasions, and chemical exposure.

We stock latex-dipped gloves and thermal gloves (both made by Toolpak). The latex-dipped gloves are comfortable, great value for money, and ideal for a range of handling applications. They have elasticated cuffs and a breathable back, and are CE-certified. The Toolpak heavy-duty thermal gloves are also latex-coated on the palms for additional grip, and are suitable for general handling and use in construction.

Eyewear includes safety glasses and goggles. These help to protect the wearer's eyes against sparks, flying debris, and hazardous particles and liquids. Many of these have frames, side shields, and special lenses.

We stock Toolpak's lightweight safety goggles. These feature a polycarbonate lens for impact protection, a flexible vinyl frame, and direct ventilation. They also fit on-top of standard spectacles.

Ear protectors can include ear plugs, ear muffs, and ear defenders. These all help to reduce the risk of hearing loss or hearing problems when working in high-noise environments.

We stock Toolpak ear defenders which are great value for money, lightweight, and adjustable, and they have a reinforced headband. They have a SNR rating of 26dB.
