Damp Proofing & Visqueen Rolls

Damp proofing and Visqueen rolls are both used in construction to prevent moisture from penetrating buildings and structures. Damp proofing stops moisture from passing through walls, floors and foundations of buildings. A damp proof course is usually applied to exterior walls and other areas that are susceptible to damp and moisture and can be used to protect basements, retaining walls and foundations.

Visqueen is a type of polyethylene sheeting which is often used as a damp proof membrane and can also be used under concrete slabs, under flooring, as temporary weather protection during construction and in landscaping and agriculture. The benefits of Visqueen rolls include creating a barrier against moisture and vapour, preventing rising damp and protecting buildings against moisture damage.
