COVID-19 Update

Update 16th July 2021

Dear Customers

From the 19th July with all social distancing restrictions being lifted it will no longer be mandatory by law to wear masks or social distance within our stores.  However while the infection rates remain so high in our areas George Hill Timber are keen to help stop the spread of Covid-19 while also protecting our staff and vulnerable customers, therefore we kindly ask you to continue to practice social distancing while in our stores.

Rules still in place

• Please keep your distance - 2m without a mask or 1m with a mask when possible from other customers and staff
• Please wear a mask when in enclosed spaces
• Please sanitise your hands when entering the store
• Please do not visit the branch if you have covid symptoms
• Contactless ordering on request either via the website or over the phone

We know masks are annoying and it is now personal choice as to whether you wear them however we hope you understand our reluctance to return all the way back to normal just yet.

Across all sites, our opening hours remain Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm closing for lunch 1-1.30 pm, and Saturday 8 am-12 pm (1 pm at Oldham).  Office hours are Mon-Fri 8 am – 5 pm closing for lunch 1-1.30 pm.

Services Offered

• Pre-ordered collection – order over the phone, via email or through our website.
• Walk/Drive-ins – All sites allow walks ins however with restricted numbers of customers allowed on site and in buildings. There may be a short wait to enter the premises.
• Pre-paid orders – All orders that are placed and prepaid either over the phone or via our website offer our customers a completely contact free shopping experience.

• If you have pre-ordered for collection please don’t turn up until you have had confirmation your order is ready.
• £120 (inc VAT) minimum spend for deliveries

Please note due to unprecedented demand for certain products over the summer months the supply of some stock items may be delayed.
